![]() But today when it was being troublesome again I noticed when I right clicked the layer and pressed "scale layer" and did it that way instead of clicking directly on the item with the scale tool, it didn't disappear. So yeah not sure what was happening with it but now it's as I want it. Changing the font-scale value wont increase the font size in the menus. To scale or resize an asset, select the Scale Tool (hotkey: Shift+S) and select the asset in the Layers panel. Then you have to select that theme in GIMP's Preferences (Menu Bar > Edit > Preferences). Click on the canvas and drag to rotate, and press Enter to confirm. I think it's a glitch maybe, because it stopped disappearing yesterday then today it started doing it again (both times while scaling the same item). In Windows 10/11, you have to edit the gtkrc file (This can be found in the case of Dark theme in C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\themes\Dark) of the theme you are using. If you are enlarging the layer it could be that the layer is now larger than the canvas. Usual procedure would then be to choose "To new layer". If you do have a selection the selected area is scaled and becomes a new floating layer. Grabbed a board scan from YeOldeInn, opened it in Gimp and converted to grey scale and passed it through a few filters and split it into 36 tiles. If there is no selection the entire layer is scaled. I am not quite sure what you are doing here.
